Wow, that's one clean 190. Interesting that there are no 190e badges on the trunk - was that done at the factory?

I am fascinated by this car
Mercedes spent so much money developing this platform
I want one of the rare manual ones

Way too clean to be a NY car of that age.

Couple issues for me here. First, were those rims actually offered on the 190, even this special edition? I know it's common to swap them out from a 124, because a lot of people prefer the look.
Second, this is the 2.3-liter, which is just an utterly gutless engine. The 2.6 straight-six was kind of a turd already, but the 2.3 was woefully underpowered the day it left the factory in the early 80s. By the early 90s, that powerplant was kind of a joke.
I still love 190Es, though, and that rare special edition green is just wonderful. I had a '92 Audi S4 almost that exact color (bit more green, bit less blue), and it was a looker. Thanks for sharing.

I'm surprised by no badges. But I don't know that much about those special editions. That thing is almost as clean as a SW car on the underneath. I would not pay that much for it but I bet someone will pay close to it. Thanks for the post.
